Ironman collection
For several years, we have created products for one of the largest triathlon competitions – IRONMAN Tallinn.
What made the Ironman project special was that we had to create products for participants, organizers, and for sale. This meant that the products had to be designed to be as attractive as possible to fans, while being durable and high-quality, and leaving enough margin for the seller.
Among other things, various fan products were printed for men, women and children. The selection included sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts and beanies, many of which traveled abroad with the competitors and their fans.
The logos were applied to the hoodies and beanies using transfer printing technology, where the logo is printed on special transfer paper. The printing is done color by color and the image is printed in mirror image, and finally a layer of adhesive is applied, which allows the logos to be hot-pressed onto the product.
Transfer printing offers a wide range of possibilities: for example, logos can be printed in advance and then transferred to products using the heat press method. One of its advantages is, for example, a situation where at the time of printing it is not known exactly which images are needed more and which less, or which sizes should be used for which images. Transfer printing also allows logos to be applied where, for example, direct screen printing cannot be done: sportswear, sleeve ends, trouser legs, near seams.
